Africa & Heritage Rugs

Two things run through this collection: the geometry — mudcloth bands, kente-inspired stripes, earthtone medallions — and the continent itself, drawn as a map or filled with its own wildlife.

Living with the palette

Ochre, indigo, rust and bone. It is a warm neutral scheme that carries a room without needing anything else patterned in it, which is why these work over bare wood and under plain furniture. Related geometry lives in the tribal and Aztec collection.

Which format?

Repeating mudcloth geometry suits runners and area rugs; single medallions and map designs suit round mats, where the shape frames itself.
