Watch Measurements
- Case diameter: Across the widest point, excluding the crown.
- Case thickness: From the case back to the highest front surface.
- Band width: Where the strap joins the case.
- Band length/fit: Measure the wrist and compare it with the stated fit range.
- Display size: Visible artwork may be smaller than total case diameter.
Wall Clock Measurements
- Diameter/dimensions: Edge to edge; shaped clocks may list width and height.
- Overall depth: Front surface to the back of the movement or hardware.
- Artwork area: Hands, center pin, marks, and finishing occupy visible space.
- Hanging clearance: Allow room for movement housing and secure hardware.
- Viewing distance: Larger clocks are generally easier to read from farther away.
Before Ordering
- Compare measurements with a watch or clock you own.
- Confirm inches, centimeters, or millimeters.
- Measure the intended wearer's wrist.
- Confirm wall area, viewing distance, mounting surface, and clearance.
- Review material, movement, battery, strap, hanging hardware, and water-resistance details.
Water resistance: Never assume a watch is waterproof or water resistant unless the product page provides a specific rating.
